Brow Lift or Botox?
Real Patient Question:
I’m a 42 year old Caucasian female and have been bothered the last year or so by my brow looking like it is starting to sag a bit. I’ve looked at a lot of before and after photos of brow lift patients on the internet but so many of them look like a deer caught in the headlights or startled looking. I’ve used Botox around my eyes with success. Is this something I should consider or is surgery a better option?
Dr. Vu’s Answer:
I believe that taking a conservative route when considering altering your facial appearance is always best. A brow lift is surgery and it’s permanent. I understand you are unhappy with the sagging of your brow, but I feel confident that with Botox injections we can lift your eyebrows and remove some of the lines and creases. I would also recommend a light laser treatment to your face to remove some of the sun damage and improve the overall texture of your skin. I always advise a patient considering facial plastic surgery to try a couple of non-surgical options first to see if you get the result you are looking for.
